CHINEDU IKEDIEZE...the actor
Chinedu Ikedieze burst on to the scene in truly dramatic fashion in
the 2002 movie Aki na Ukwa. And in less than a decade he has gone on
to become one of the most famous actors in Nollywood. Best known for
acting alongside his sidekick Osita Iheme, the duo have solidified the
name Aki & PawPaw in the Nigerian movie industry.
Growing up Chinedu dreamt of being a doctor or lawyer but all that
changed when he caught the acting bug as a teenager after he joined
his secondary school’s Drama Society.
On completion of his secondary school education Chinedu enrolled at
the Institute of Management & Technology in Enugu State to study Mass
Communications. Led by his passion for acting he joined the
Institute’s theatre group, as an active member of the group he took
part in several large-scale productions, ceasing the opportunity to
make industry contacts and hone his craft.
Armed with an HND in mass communications, Chinedu began auditioning
for movie roles. His first big screen feature was in the 1998 movie
“Evil Men” in which he had a minor role. He impressed producers with
his talent and tenacity and went on to feature in many more movies.
